West Ashley Sewer Tunnel Charleston, South Carolina
Designed shaft excavation and initial tunnel support systems: salient features included a 60-ft diameter by 150-ft deep pumping shaft installed using a sinking caisson technique, a 20-ft diameter by 135-ft deep working shaft; and initial support for soft-ground tunneling.
Madison/Milton Bridge over the Ohio River
Provided high-strain dynamic pile testing of 24-in. and 48-in. diameter pipe piles for support of substructure elements.
US 60 o/Green River
Spotsville, Kentucky
Designed cofferdam for pier footing and stem wall for substructure of new bridge.
Ashburton Reservoir Baltimore, Maryland
Designed two secant pile cut-off walls adjacent to water supply reservoir for city. Walls facilitated excavations for two new buired pre-stressed concrete tanks with a useable storage of approximately 50 million gallons.
West WWTP - Storage Basin Evansville, Indiana
Designed tiedowns and excavation support systems for new storage basin and diversion structures: 30 to 45-ft deep soldier beam and timber lagging wall with tiebacks and internal bracing for support of adjacent ground near the Ohio River.
McCord Road under NSRR Lucas Co., Ohio
Designed excavation support for temporary run-around for railroad and provided high-strain dynamic pile testing.
South Interceptor Force Main Omaha, Nebraska
Designed excavation support systems: 70- to 100-ft deep working shafts installed via a secant-pile approach along the Missouri River as well as several internally-braced support systems.
